We specialize in caring for high-risk mothers to ensure the most positive birth experiences possible. Mothers with heart problems, high blood pressure, prematurely ruptured membranes or abnormal bleeding are considered to be high risk. If the unborn baby has abnormal heart patterns or is in a position that would indicate problems, or if twins (or other multiples) are expected, the mother needs special care.
Skilled and caring physicians staff our high-risk Antepartum Unit for mothers. The nurses are specially trained and experienced in caring for the mother who requires these resources. Our staff includes Perinatologists (specialists in high-risk obstetrics) should the need arise for consultation.
