Dr Edward Medina, medical director for Exempla Surgical Specialists, is a general surgeon and member of the Denver Academy of Surgery. He has experience with a wide variety of surgical cases - utilizing both traditional and advanced laparoscopic techniques giving you a choice of surgery options depending on your situation.

He is board-certified as a general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery and has received Level II accreditation in Colorado worker's compensation. Dr Medina looks forward to being your partner in health and healing.

Dr. Edward Medina and his staff have a philosophy of care that's based on collaboration and trust. By showing compassion, sharing knowledge and constantly striving to do more, Exempla Surgical Specialists provide the kind of care that earn our patients' trust.

Dr Medina works in close partnership with referring physicians to provide patients with the best possible care. He always is involved directly in the post-operative care of inpatients and has immediate access to dozens of medical and surgical specialists for patients who need more specialized care. Referring physicians receive regular updates on their patient's progress, as well as the timely communication of notes and other patient documentation.
