Working Together and Rebuilding Lives
Philosophy
We view substance abuse as a total life-affecting illness. The impact on the person's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life is overwhelming. Family support may even erode as the abuse gets worse. Our program motivates patients to learn and steadily apply proven recovery-oriented principles and behaviors into their lives.
At Exempla West Pines, we also recognize that many people who have both a chemical dependency and psychiatric disorder can be treated effectively on an outpatient basis. Our staff in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) works with clients to integrate their addiction recovery with treatment for their mental health disorder.
