Jennifer Weaver-Crookham, MSPT

Jennifer Weaver-Crookham received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado in 2000. She has many years of experience in the outpatient physical therapy setting. Jennifer specializes in orthopedics, sports physical therapy, post-operative rehabilitation, work-injury rehabilitation, spine, and extremity injuries. Jennifer also has a certifi cation in orthotics.
Michell Kucera, PT

Michell has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 16 years in a broad variety of settings and populations. Her primary clinical interest lies with neurologic rehabilitation of children and adults with extensive experience with seating and mobility solutions for people with signifi cant motor impairment. Michell will be providing evaluation and treatment of pediatric clients at the Health and Healing Center. She employs a familycentered approach to care and treatment of children with emphasis on enhancing mobility to promote development.

Camma has over 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist, addressing the client's individual needs and improving function in the home, work, and community settings. Camma's skills include upper extremity injury and orthopedic rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in the areas of functional cognitive retraining, neuromuscular reeducation, ocular motor exercise, managing pain with daily activities and injury prevention in the workplace. Camma enjoys integrating her skills and experience to treat clients of diverse levels of functioning and diagnoses.
Lauren Garretson, PTA,CPI
Physical Therapy Assistant, Certified Pilates Instructor
Lauren has over 16 years experience with physical therapy, 5 years as a rehabilitation aide and 11 years as an assistant. She received her AAS in 1996, and is licensed through Wyoming. Her main area of expertise is neurologic with an emphasis on balance defi cits. She can also can treat vestibular patients. Lauren has received formal training in the management of lymphedema and has been treating patients for 5 years. In addition, she has been formally trained in manual therapy techniques covering treatment of the spine and sacrum, as well as the knee, shoulder, and foot. She enjoys working with orthopedic patients. Lauren is a certifi ed Pilates Mat instructor.

Sherry Baum, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech Pathologist
Sherry came to Exempla in the spring of 2004. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and has lectured both locally and nationally and participated in several research studies. Sherry has 23 years of experience including work with the ALS Association and University of Colorado Hospital. Sherry did her graduate work in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Colorado and her undergraduate studies at ODU in Virginia. Sherry's areas of expertise and interest include adult neurological disorders, particularly ALS, Videofl uoroscopic Swallow Studies, tracheostomy and oral care, and teamwork to maximize patient education and performance.
Julie M. Artigliere, PhD, CCC/SLP
Speech-Voice-Language Pathologist
Dr. Artigliere is a member of the American Speech Hearing Language Association and has over 30 years experience in a wide range of clinical and research settings: private practice, hospital, rehabilitation centers, home health care and public school and university systems. Her specialty is treating adult and pediatric clients with a variety of voice disorders including: neurological (such as: Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease), paradoxical vocal cord movement (vocal cord dysfunction) for a variety of clients including professional athletes and patients with vocal pathologies (vocal nodules and polyps, vocal cord paralysis). Her specialty also extends to performers and professional voice users.
Dr. Artigliere is Vital Stim certified (a neuromuscular electrical stimulation treatment for swallowing disorders) and laryngealvideostroboscopy trained (an evaluation of the function of the larynx). She also is a lecturer at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Emily is a certified audiologist with 5 years of clinical experience. She sees both adults and children for a variety of diagnostic hearing testing. She is also an experienced hearing aid dispenser and works with a variety of hearing aid manufacturers in order to match each patient to the best possible hearing aid for their situation.

Bernhard Schmotzer, LAc, MS
Acupuncturist
Bernhard earned his Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in December 2005 after completing a four year program. He is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. After graduation Bernhard volunteered in India treating Tibetan refugees before opening his own practice in Boulder, CO. In his treatments he includes adjunctive therapies such as moxibustion, tui na, acupressure, cupping, auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture) and also incorporates dietary and lifestyle recommendations. Bernhard strives towards a future where both Eastern and Western Medicine work together to best serve his patients.
Shayan Santicola, LAc, MS

Shayan Santicola earned her Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in December 2005. She is nationally certifi ed in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Following her graduation, Shayan volunteered in India and Thailand performing Acupuncture in refugee camps. Shayan also did an Acupuncture internship in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine working with Oncology and Pediatric patients. Shayan is currently on faculty at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Nicole is an RN with a background in psychology, is a Certified Holistic Nurse and has been a Certified Healing Touch Instructor for more than 10 years. In her private practice in Longmont, she facilitates her clients' journey towards holistic health through Healing Touch, Reiki, and Wellness Counseling. Nicole is active in her community via lectures and classes in Healing Touch. She is the director of the NFR Healing Touch (HT) Clinic, which supports HT students in their apprenticeship, while providing HT to the community.

Scott is from Detroit Michigan and has been practicing massage therapy full time for over twenty years. He lived and went to school in South Florida before moving to Colorado to set up his Boulder practice in 2001. Scott is a nationally certified therapist who has concentrated on therapeutic and rehabilitation massage for the last thirteen years of his practice. He also works with automobile injury and workers compensation clients. Formerly, Scott ran his own On-Site chair massage business and developed a pet massage therapy program.

Laurie has been working in the healthcare fi eld for over 20 years. She graduated with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy's 1000 hour program with a specialty in Prenatal and Postpartum Massage. She teaches childbirth education classes and assists couples at birth as a labor doula. Laurie creates a relaxing, non-judgmental atmosphere for clients to explore avenues for achieving wellness. Methods she uses include: Prenatal, Postpartum and labor massage, Swedish Relaxation massage, Infant massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and sports massage. Her training includes methods in Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, pre-natal and postpartum massage.
