Inspire Programs Fall 2010

"Pain, Veins and Just Vain." A vascular surgeon discusses signs, symptoms, and treatments for varicose and spider veins. Wednesday, October 6, 6 p.m., location to be determined.

Mediterranean Dining for Diabetics: Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Endocrinologist Andrea Salzberg, MD and 240 Union Restaurant Chef Anand Chaturveldula bring you the latest in diabetes trends and demonstrate how to cook a fun and delicious Mediterranean mean. $15 fee. Tuesday, October 12, 6pm.

Kids in the Kitchen - How to Make a Healthy Pizza: Pediatrician Michael Brazelton, MD, with Pediatrics West teaches kids how to eat healthy while Chef Nicolle Verville of 240 Union Restaurant helps them prepare their own pizza and veggie snacks. $15 fee. Wednesday, November 3, 5:15 pm.

Coming Winter 2011: "We Have More Fun Than Anyone."Hear author, Irene Rawlings, discuss her new book, Sisters on the Fly, and how a group of women found their passion and friendships.
