Pre-Registration

We know your time is valuable! By pre-registering you can save up to 20 minutes. Lutheran offers two convenient options to complete your pre-admission paperwork. One option is to attend a free Baby Business tour. See Family Education below or call 303-689-4595 for more information. Another option is to print and complete the forms listed below. The pre-registration process helps us become familiar with your preferences regarding your labor, birth and care of your baby. To ensure proper processing of your pre-registration paperwork it is recommended that these forms are completed and returned to Women and Family Services at least one week prior to your hospital stay.

Family Education

With so much information available on the Internet, cable channels and DVDs, some expectant parents wonder, "Why should I take prenatal classes?" In a nutshell, you are laying the foundation for being a good and attentive parent. Spending structured time to stay healthy and become prepared for your baby is your first responsibility. Even if you plan to use medication for your birth, classes provide information to ease discomfort, help you learn about your baby and make a positive transition to parenthood. Lactation Services and Support Group

Our support for breastfeeding continues after you have delivered your baby. Certified lactation consultants will visit breastfeeding moms while in the hospital to provide valuable, current information and support.

Other Lactation Services Include:

• Breastfeeding Helpline - offering general information and assistance, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Call our pager at 303-897-4388; after hours call 303-425-8646.
• Breastfeeding Support Group - Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 9:30 to 10:30. There is no cost to join this group. Call 303-425-2229 for more information.
• Private breastfeeding consultation by appointment.
• The Nursing Nook - a specialty shop featuring a full line of lactation equipment, including nursing bras, nightgowns, pumps and more. Call ahead to schedule curbside service; 303-425-2288.
