Recently opened, our state-of-the-art Infusion Care area at Lutheran Medical Center's Cancer Center now offers a brand new spacious and healing environment for patients receiving chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products or other types of infusions. The open-space area was designed entirely with the patient in mind. It offers six chairs in a common area, three semiprivate bays and two private rooms for patients and their family or friends. Patients can choose to receive their treatment in the common area with comfortable, reclining chairs and TVs, where they can pass the time or enjoy conversations with others. Or they can ask for a more peaceful and personal area. Plus, all chairs and beds face windows to offer beautiful views of the outdoors.
A special boutique, Hope's Corner, offers products designed specifically for those dealing with cancer, including turbans, hats, bras and prosthetics, skin care, books and other inspirational items to help with the cancer journey. In addition, the American Cancer Society Cancer Resource Center helps patients and families find information on cancer treatment or coping with a cancer diagnosis. The Cancer Care Resource Coordinator at the Center also assists with finding resources and services available in the Denver Metro area. Even more assistance is available through the Cancer Registry and Clinical Trials nurse, both officed near this area. Putting these resources together in one location further supports cancer patients and their families at Lutheran's Cancer Center.
