Radiation Oncology Overview

The signature of ELMC's radiation oncology clinic is the Serenity Garden, a private outdoor patio for patients to enjoy with their families while receiving treatment. Aspen trees, benches and a flowing fountain reflect Colorado and offer an inviting and soothing environment. It is patients' most requested area.

Walking past this private outdoor patio, patients and visitors realize this is not a typical outpatient facility; it is recognized as one of the area's finest, with leading technology and expert care in a welcoming and safe environment.

At ELMC, excellence is the standard, and helping patients is the priority. The Radiation Oncology Department has some of the most advanced technology in the region, allowing for fewer complications, better outcomes and new applications.

Leading the staff and managing the care in the Radiation Oncology Department are Elizabeth Ceilley, MD (at left) and Wendy Nekritz,MD (at right). Their vision of superior care has created a culture of respect, collaboration, and compassion that both physicians and patients agree leads to better success. Flexible scheduling to accommodate up to 100 patients per day, streamlined processes and a multidisciplinary approach are all part of the unique treatment plans available at our facility. The Radiation Oncology Clinic includes many of the amenities patients have requested. A restroom with enclosed changing areas provides both convenience and privacy. An expanded waiting area gives patients the space and comfort they need during their visit. Blanket and robe warmers and access to the snack counter allow patients to relax and make themselves feel as "at home" as possible.
