Therapeutic Massage
When you experience the release and relaxation of an expert massage, you realize the pain you have lived with. Message therapy is one of the oldest and most basic healing treatments. Bridges offers you a wide range of choices, from classics like deep tissue, neuromuscular and Swedish massage to providing specialized treatments for pregnant patients and orthopedic rehabilitation. Our expert staff can help you choose the massage that's best for you.
As part of Exempla Lutheran Medical Center (ELMC), we also offer therapeutic massages that address specific health-related needs. These include:
Pregnancy & Post-Partum Massage
As you lie on your side, we use a gentle touch that caters to your special needs. Our techniques promote relaxation, reduce swelling in your extremities, ease low back and ligament pain, and speed recovery time after giving birth.
Lymphedema Massage
This special light touch massage, known as manual lymphatic drainage, eases pain and relieves swelling and stiffness in joints and lymph node areas. Lymphatic massage is ideal for those who have sustained serious burns, had breast cancer surgery, or suffer from skin disorders. It is also thought to prevent scarring.
In-patient Massage
Consider giving a massage instead of flowers, the special gift of touch. In-patient massage can be requested by the physician, nurse, family member or friend. Call extension 22262 or 303-425-2262 to schedule. Family members and other guests can also enjoy massage at our out-patient location on the hospital campus, 8098 W 38th Ave.
Worksite Chair Massage
A 10-15 minute massage is a proven way to reduce stress and increase productivity without leaving your workplace. We bring our special expertise to you with on-site chair massage.
