What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine (thread-like) needles into the skin at specific points on the body in order to affect the flow of vital energy (Qi) and restore health. These points have been mapped by the Chinese over a period of two thousand years.
How does acupuncture work?
Traditional acupuncture is based on ancient Chinese theories of the flow of energy (Qi) and blood (Xue) through distinct meridians. Meridians are pathways that cover the body in much the same way as nerves and blood vessels cover the body. Acupuncture regulates and restores the harmonious energetic balance of the body.
Our staff has successfully treated patients for a wide range of conditions, including: headaches, back pain, sports injuries, menstrual cramps, premenstrual syndrome, nausea, asthma, side effects of cancer treatment, arthritis, stress, and smoking cessation. Many clinical studies show the benefits of acupuncture. We bring those benefits to you.
"Acupuncture is about treating the whole person. It's more than treating specific pain, illness, or disease. We balance, strengthen and nourish life energy throughout the entire body."
