Emergency Services at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital

Our emergency department (ED) is a busy place. It treats about 55,000 patients a year and sees roughly 150 patients every day for everything from OB-GYN to minor trauma, psychiatric conditions, and accidents.

It has 35 beds and an 11-bed observation unit that's open 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The observation unit averages eight patients a day.
