The Exempla Lutheran Breast Care Center
provides mammography services the way they should be - all-inclusive care to bring women hope, healing and health. The Exempla Lutheran Breast Care Center now has two suites to care for your breast health needs. The suites are located on the campus for your convenience.
Screening Suite
The new Screening Suite is dedicated facility for patients having a routine annual screening mammogram. You will be welcomed by the same compassionate technologists and physicians you have come to trust. If you are having any symptoms or suspected changes in your breast health you should be seen in the Diagnostic Suite.
When you visit, you'll immediately notice that we have kept women in mind by designing a warm, calming, spa-like care area to complement our expert services. We even have warmed gowns for you to wear during your exam.
Diagnostic Suite
We have renovated our diagnostic suites to be more comprehensive to care for your specialized needs, such as biopsies, ultrasounds and needle localizations. Digital mammography is also performed here for those needing additional views or those with symptoms such as any lumps, bumps, rashes or nipple discharge.
We offer the same warm touch as the Screening Suite with the expertise of dedicated doctors, nurses, and technologists.
Benefits of Digital Mammography
We now offer the latest technology in women's health - digital mammography. According to a study by the National Cancer Institute, digital mammography is significantly better than film mammography for all women.
With this level of technology, the images are clearer which allow our radiologists to detect problems earlier to treat patients appropriately and save lives.
This technology is especially effective for screening women under age 50, or women with very dense breast tissue.
Digital mammography imaging is also faster resulting in shorter exams and reduced wait-time to secure an appointment.
