Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center offers state-of-the-art technology for advanced cases with its 64-slice CT scanner and breakaway O-Arm® technology for neurosurgery and orthopedic advanced cases.
Experienced providers to save lives
Leading the trauma team is Dr. Barry Platnick, an experienced trauma surgeon credentialed in both surgery and critical care. Along with Dr. Platnick, a complete team of specialty surgeons from the community is on board to care for trauma patients as well as advanced trained nurses and trauma coordinators.
Trauma education and prevention
Trauma is currently the leading cause of death for people less than 44 years of age in the United States. At Exempla Good Samaritan, we believe in taking a leadership role in trauma education and prevention. The physicians and staff of Trauma Services take an active role in educating health care providers as well as the community on important trauma prevention strategies and programs. In 2007, Trauma Services provided educational and prevention strategies to more than 40,000 people in neighboring communities through outreach events.
We hope you'll never need our services, but if you do, take comfort in knowing you'll receive the best care possible. It's our promise to you.
