Our team is dedicated to guiding you through a course designed to educate you and help improve your physical conditioning so you can breathe easier.
Breathing in and out sounds so simple, unless you suffer from lung disease. Our Pulmonary Rehab program trains people with lung disease on how to breathe easier and have an increased quality of life through education and exercise. Research indicates that pulmonary rehabilitation can help people with lung disease lead more active, fulfilling lives.
Our Pulmonary Rehab team - including respiratory therapists, registered nurses, physical therapists, exercise physiologists, dieticians and counselors -- is dedicated to leading program participants through a course designed to educate and improve their physical conditioning. Our program goal is to provide a positive, rewarding experience for all.

Classroom Education
Learning about your disease enables you to manage it more effectively. Our program provides six education classes, each two hours in length. Education topics are:
- The Respiratory System
- Oxygen Management
- Medications
- Nutrition
- Breathing Techniques
- Exercise
- Relaxation
- Health Hints
We offer a relaxed atmosphere where you can ask questions and participate in discussions with others ho share your concerns and offer you support and encouragement.
Physical Conditioning
After attending the educational classes, participants attend the physical conditioning program twice a week, offered in a motivating and supportive environment. This program includes:
- Monitored exercise under the supervision of a team of therapists
- An individualized exercise program designed to improve your strength and endurance
Support Group
We offer a monthly gathering for pulmonary patients and their family and friends. Members of this informal group share resources, information and wisdom, and offer emotional and moral support to one another.
Our Pulmonary Rehab support group is held the third Thursday of each month, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. There is no fee and no need to preregister. However, we do recommend that you contact us prior to attending a group to verify the time and location, or if you have any other questions. Call 303.318.1333.
