Leadership Profiles

Medical Oncology
Phone: 303.318.3434

Richard Hesky, MD is the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Hesky knows that a strength of this cancer center is being locally directed by the physicians and clinical staff providing the patient care. In addition, having all necessary services in one location will help reduce anxiety for patients and frustration for referring physicians. This integrated model of cancer care improves the patient experience as well as medical team communication.

Breast Care Center
Phone: 303.318.3400

Dr. Norton leads the Saint Joseph Hospital Breast Care Center which houses a team of accredited breast radiologists, caring technologists and a nurse educator. This multidisciplinary team is available to answer questions, explain treatment options, and provide emotional support. At the Breast Care Center, only physicians and clinicians who were trained and specialize in breast disease are treating our patients.

The Breast Care Center is located in Midtown II, suite 100. It is open Monday through Friday from 7: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Physicians with questions can contact Dr. Norton at 303-866-8300.

Breast Imaging
Phone: 303.318.3400

Our Medical Director of Breast Imaging, Jerome Schroeder, MD, went to medical school at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, and completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

The Breast Care Center provides screening and diagnostic mammography, breast MRI and ultrasound, as well as breast biopsies including ultrasound, stereotactic and MRI-guided biopsies. The best approach to providing the highest-quality breast care is the integrated approach, where all services - from cancer screeening through treatment - are in one place. Quality service, continuity of care, communication among physicians and patient satisfaction all are better when a patient can receive all the care she needs in one place.
