Sandra Walters, RN

Sandra Walters, RN, CBPN-C is our Clinical Breast Health Educator/Navigator. She has worked in the area of breast health/cancer education since 1999. Sandra assists patients by facilitating their education regarding breast health or breast cancer situations, coordinating additional medical appointments, and assisting patients to receive all appropriate services within the comprehensive cancer program. Her role in education and coordination of care promotes a streamlined navigation approach which facilitates timelier access to needed treatment services. Sandra can be reached at 303.318.3415.

Sandra is available to help increase the person or families understanding of services provided through the breast center, and focuses her education to decrease the anxiety or confusion that often comes with an abnormal finding and trying to understand medical information.  Sandra works closely with Dr. Schroeder and primary care physicians to facilitate strong communication between providers and patients.  If you have questions about your breast health or family history, Sandra is a good place to start in getting answers and to needed resources.

The Breast Care Center is located:

1825 Marion Street, Denver, CO 80218

It is open Monday through Friday from 7: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To download a map, click here.
Physicians with questions may contact Dr. Norton at 303.318.3414.

The Breast Care Center provides screening and diagnostic mammography, breast MRI and ultrasound, as well as breast biopsies including ultrasound, stereotactic and MRI-guided biopsies. The best approach to providing the highest-quality breast care is the integrated approach, where all services - from cancer screeening through treatment - are in one place. Quality service, continuity of care, communication among physicians and patient satisfaction all are better when a patient can receive all the care she needs in one place.
