The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) is a publicly reported patient satisfaction survey that includes patients' overall satisfaction with a hospital, their willingness to recommend a hospital, as well as satisfaction with communication with doctors and nurses, responsiveness of hospital staff, pain management, communication about medicines, discharge information, cleanliness, and quiet.

At Exempla Healthcare we have long supported the release of public information on our performance such as the HCAHPS Survey because we believe consumers need to be better informed.
